Job Description
As an Assistant Financial Controller you will take on a variety of key responsibilities:
Finance and Accounting Leadership
- Oversee preparation and review of monthly departmental P&Ls quarterly and annual financial statements and annual budgets.
- Partner with external advisors on statutory accounts and tax computations.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all financial and tax reporting requirements including VAT payroll taxes and corporate income tax.
- Provide documentation and support for internal/external audits.
- Identify and lead costreduction and efficiency initiatives.
- Contribute to financial strategy business planning and operational execution.
- Act as a business partner to district operations management offering financial insights and expertise.
- Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Compliance
- Ensure full adherence to statutory fiscal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
- Champion a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
- Communicate proactively with finance teams to ensure understanding of policies and regulatory changes.
Qualifications :
- A professionally qualified accountant (ACCA CIMA or ACA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in finance.
- Broad finance and accounting experience.
- Deep knowledge of tax and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
