We are recruiting for two leadership positions within the Aircraft Projects team: Fleet Inductions Manager and Fleet Disposals Manager. 

These roles work side by side supporting the full lifecycle of Qantas aircraft from entry into service through to retirement and redelivery. While each role has a defined portfolio both require strong program leadership deep engineering knowledge and the ability to collaborate across Engineering CAMO Flight Operations OEMs and multiple operational stakeholders. 

Fleet Inductions Manager

You will lead the full aircraft induction lifecycle ensuring every new or transitioning aircraft is compliant configured and operationally ready.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Leading detailed induction project plans and governance across engineering operations training supply chain and maintenance  
  • Overseeing configuration verification acceptance inspections conformity activities and resolution of technical issues  
  • Ensuring manuals training spares systems updates and operational readiness are in place for Day 1 operations  
  • Managing postinduction reliability rectification phases and issue resolution  

Fleet Disposals Manager

You will manage the entire retirement and redelivery lifecycle of aircraft leaving the Qantas fleet.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Leading all aircraft phase-out activities from retirement planning through to sale lease return or redelivery  
  • Managing lease return conditions bridging checks maintenance obligations and technical/records audits  
  • Overseeing demodification configuration restoration and Qantasspecific equipment removal  
  • Coordinating with regulators lessors purchasers CAMO Maintenance and OEMs to ensure compliant transitions  

Youll have:  

  • Strong technical leadership and stakeholder capability.  
  • 812 years experience in Airline Engineering CAMO aircraft projects or fleet management  
  • Proven experience in aircraft delivery/EIS redelivery/induction or major fleet introduction/phase-out programs 
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks (CASR Parts 21/42/145) and associated compliance requirements 
  • Advanced program/project management capability including scope schedule cost risk and change control 
  • Deep experience with OEM data configuration control SBs/mods embodiment and technical documentation integrity 
  • Excellent stakeholder management influencing and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams 
  • High resilience and sound judgement when balancing safety risk operational priorities and commercial outcomes
