The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Academic Partnerships is a dual-focused role that integrates technology system management with student program operations. Technically the BSA develops maintains and enhances business applications manages data accuracy and system performance and implements productivity-improving modifications. On the program side the BSA leads identification and onboarding of students coordinates engagement activities manages program logistics and communications and collects and reports data to demonstrate the Information Research and Academic Partnerships (IRAP) program impact. This position functions both as a project manager as well as a student coach. The position requires a combination of systems expertise organizational skills stakeholder collaboration and strong interest in engaging with diverse student populations.
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as an individual contributor responsible for the development maintenance and enhancement of business applications while supporting IRAPs student engagement initiatives. This role combines technical systems management with operational coordination of student programs. The BSA manages applications and associated data ensures accuracy monitors system performance and implements modifications to improve productivity. Additionally they lead identification onboarding and engagement of students bridging technology solutions with academic partnership operations.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
Collaborate with functional areas to assess and understand complex business needs on projects coordinated through IRAP; determine impacts of evolving requirements.
Influence and respond to user inquiries on system inputs processes and outputs; research and analyze to resolve system problems.
Develop comprehensive business user requirements system documentation workflow procedures and data models.
Lead identification and onboarding of students collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure job descriptions align with project requirements.
Review and route system change requests; create detailed specifications for implementation and communicate updates to management.
Maintain accurate system documentation; provide systems expertise and create training educational tools and support materials for internal stakeholders.
Spearhead internal communications to demonstrate program impact; collect and maintain accurate data on students projects and engagements; produce reports timelines and visuals using relevant tools; create ad-hoc database reports and analyze project data.
Coordinate plans for student engagement activities (workshops hackathons site visits) across delivery platforms; schedule facilitate and manage logistical needs.
Qualifications :
Required
Bachelors degree with 2 years of experience or Masters degree in Business Administration Information Systems or related education field.
Experience in systems development implementation operations and/or enhancement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel; comfortable with Microsoft Teams and IT systems.
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to deliver results lead and facilitate meetings with both business and technical teams and work effectively cross-functionally.
Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on larger objectives.
Exceptional teamwork skills and strong stakeholder focus.
Demonstrated planning organizational skills and fast-paced environment adaptability.
Crticial thinker with innate interest in continuous improvement of processes systems and self.
Preferred
Project management experience.
Familiarity with university recruiting systems and/or student services programs.
Cmfort with IT and reporting tools (Power BI Tableau etc.)

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time ofthis posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic locationand we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
