We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automation & IoT Infrastructure Architect. In this role you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining automated infrastructure solutions to improve the efficiency reliability and scalability of our manufacturing environments. You will act as the bridge between technical automation complexity and discrete manufacturing operations partnering closely with Engineering leads to drive digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Provisioning: Automate the provisioning and management of application servers storage networks and other components to support the deployment of Ignition SCADA and Machine Automation.
- Architecture Integration: Design integration patterns between automation systems IoT devices Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP systems.
- Unified Namespace (UNS): Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and Security teams to integrate solutions supporting Unified Namespace architecture and standard OT data models across multiple sites.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize automation infrastructure to ensure reliable and scalable data collection efforts.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Maintain CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions for seamless and automated infrastructure deployments.
- Redundancy & Reliability: Implement redundancy architectures to ensure high availability in industrial environments.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve complex infrastructure-related issues efficiently to minimize production downtime.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes and configurations for clarity and long-term maintainability.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Automation Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation deployment and operations within industrial/manufacturing environments.
- Platform Expertise: At least 2 years of hands-on experience within the Ignition SCADA Platform.
- Scaling Systems: Proven track record of deploying large-scale automation systems in production.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of OT data models and infrastructure automation tools.
Desired
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech industrial environments.
- Knowledge of private networks and industrial Ethernet technologies.
