About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Psychology across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 helping students develop critical thinking analytical skills and a strong understanding of psychological theories and applications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Psychology lessons for GCSE and A-Level students.

• Assessing monitoring and reporting on student progress and performance.

• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.

• Supporting students who require additional help through intervention sessions and mentoring.

• Creating a positive classroom environment that encourages discussion participation and independent learning.

• Collaborating with department colleagues to develop schemes of work teaching resources and best practices.

• Participating in departmental meetings professional development and school-wide initiatives.

• Promoting students understanding of real-world psychological applications and current research.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and familiarity with exam board specifications.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their potential.

• Commitment to supporting students academic and personal development.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive department.
