Job Summary
Role - Career Coach
Location: Crown Point IN 46307 Lake County
Manage a caseload of participants and provide work readiness counseling and mentoring
Assess participant competencies work history education skills and barriers to employment
Conduct ongoing individual meetings related to job search job retention and job readiness
Develop individualized employment plans for short- and long-term goals
Maintain information on area resources and employers
Track participant accountability attendance and employment retention
Notify government agencies when a participant loses or reduces work hours
Maintain periodic contact to assess job retention and advancement issues
Provide training and employment advancement information
Monitor participant progress toward self-sufficiency
Maintain accurate electronic and paper case files
Provide case management focused on self-sufficiency
Facilitate access to education training and employment services
Qualifications:
Associates degree or 12 months of related work experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated customer service skills
Familiarity with local communities and resources
1-3 years of workforce development or related experience preferred
Travel Requirement: Frequent local travel
Required Skills:
What Were Looking For 25 years of experience in a digital manufacturing MES or systems integration role within manufacturing or life sciences Hands-on experience with at least one of: Tulip (or similar low-code manufacturing platform) or MuleSoft (or similar iPaaS tooling) A practical understanding of how shop floors work batch records work orders SOPs line clearance quality events and why the digital tools that support them need to be reliable and well-governed Familiarity with GMP environments and the basics of validated systems you dont need to be a validation specialist but you need to understand why it matters and how to work within it Strong communication skills comfortable sitting with an operator on the shop floor in the morning and presenting to a project steering committee in the afternoon Comfortable with agile delivery ambiguity and the reality that greenfield projects evolve as they go
