This on-site contract position provides an exceptional opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
In this role you will collaborate closely with surgeons and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality surgical care. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patients assisting in surgical procedures and providing post-operative care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures and ensure patient safety
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with surgeons
- Monitor patients progress and adjust care plans as necessary
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and education
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and best practices in surgical care
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or a related field
- Current NP or PA licensure in the state of Texas
- Experience in general surgery or a related medical field
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care protocols
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
Schedule: Weekends 6a-6p
Duties: Inpatient consultation coverage for general surgery/trauma adult patient populations
Support Staff: Nurses
EMR: eCW
Must be board-certified
