This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment.
As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician you will play a crucial role in delivering immediate medical attention to patients in critical situations. You will collaborate with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and support our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients in emergency situations
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care
- Stabilize patients and perform life-saving procedures as necessary
- Document patient interactions and care provided accurately
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up care
- Maintain current knowledge of emergency medicine best practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Provide support to nursing staff and other medical personnel
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Current board certification in Emergency Medicine
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Springfield
- Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical medical practices
Flexibility to work varied hours including nights and weekends
Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts
Shifts available at multiple facilities
Annual Volume: 85k patients at one ED 15k patients other ED
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
