Description
This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment providing high-quality anesthetic care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
As a Locum Anesthesiologist you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during surgery collaborating closely with surgeons and nursing staff to deliver exceptional healthcare services. Your expertise will directly contribute to the well-being of patients and the overall success of our medical team.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiac surgeries
- Monitor patients vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to develop anesthesia plans
- Evaluate patients medical histories and assess risks prior to anesthesia
- Provide post-anesthesia care and manage recovery
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards
- Document all anesthesia-related activities and patient interactions
- Participate in continuous education and training programs
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Anesthesiology
- Experience in cardiac anesthesiology preferred
- Strong understanding of anesthesia techniques and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Current state medical license and DEA registration
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6a-4p
Call Requirement: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
Setting: 1-2 cardiac ORs 1 EP lab 1 structural interventional lab
Weekly Volume: 2-5 cardiac cases
Case Types: CABG MV AV TAVR LAAC maze afib ablations
No transplants or general anesthesia cases
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
TEE certification required
Paid travel & expenses
