Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assemble and dissemble vehicle engines and cleaning fuel tanks
- Inspect troubleshoot and repair semi-truck and trailer bodies systems and components
- Perform preventative maintenance measures on semi-trucks and trailers
- Assemble and dissemble vehicle engines and cleaning the fuel tanks
- Maintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required
- Inspect service and replace trailer parts including tires.
- Check and repair the brake electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Test all systems and equipment for performance issues
- Ensure that trailers meet the US DOTs road safety requirements
- Compile inspection reports document repairs and report findings to management
- Respond as soon as possible to client queries
Qualifications :
A Successful Trailer Mechanic must consistently demonstrate the companys Mission and Values. They must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers drivers and other team members in person and on the telephone. They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful Trailer Mechanic must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Finally they must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to including weekends evenings and holidays.
