Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supplier Operations & Supply Execution:
    • Own day-to-day supplier operations for assigned factories including production scheduling capacity planning and shipment execution.
    • Work closely with suppliers to develop validate and maintain realistic production plans aligned with Company demand.
    • Track daily and weekly input/output yield and shipment status and proactively identify risks to supply commitments.
    • Drive execution and recovery plans for capacity gaps yield shortfalls material constraints and other operational issues.
    • Ensure shipment priorities are clearly communicated and executed especially during ramp-up or constrained periods
  • Capacity Planning & Factory Readiness:
    • Build and maintain detailed capacity models based on equipment labor shift patterns and yield assumptions.
    • Validate supplier capacity claims through data review on-site observation and historical performance.
    • Support factory bring-up activities including line readiness staffing ramp and process stabilization.
    • Partner with suppliers to define and execute short-term and mid-term capacity expansion plans.
    • Monitor equipment readiness tooling availability and operational constraints that impact output.
  • Material & Consumable Readiness:
    • Track and follow up on critical raw materials components and consumables that impact production and shipment.
    • Identify material lead-time risks and constraints and drive mitigation actions with suppliers to avoid supply disruption.
    • Ensure material readiness is aligned with production schedules and shipment priorities

2.2 Additional Responsibilities

While the primary focus of this role is supplier operations and execution the Sourcing Manager will also be expected to contribute in the following areas:

  • Project Management: Support or lead specific projects related to supply ramp capacity improvement or operational stabilization.
  • Operational Drive: Proactively identify operational bottlenecks inefficiencies and risks across supplier sites and drive corrective actions.
  • Cross-Functional Execution Support: Work closely with quality engineering logistics and program teams to ensure supply execution aligns with technical readiness and program milestones.
  • Supply Execution & Planning: Validated production schedules and capacity plans aligned with demand and shipment requirements. Daily and weekly supply status updates covering output yield risks and recovery actions.
  • Capacity & Ramp Readiness: Factory capacity models and ramp plans with clear assumptions and constraints. Execution plans for capacity expansion staffing ramp and equipment readiness

Reporting

The Sourcing Manager will report to the Sourcing Director at the Company but may also have functional reporting accountability to other functional leaders as necessary
