About the Opportunity
Our client is investing heavily in modern data lake and distributed systems to power advanced analytics at scale. This role sits at the intersection of technical leadership hands-on data engineering and architectural ownership.
You will lead a team building secure scalable analytics-ready data platforms while shaping best practices across the organization.
What Youll Do

Lead and mentor a team of data engineers

Drive architecture for ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration frameworks
-
Oversee analytics-ready data modeling and transformation layers
-
Champion data governance lineage and quality frameworks
-
Ensure engineering best practices across CI/CD and testing
-
Optimize performance and cost across Snowflake and Databricks
-
Partner with stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs
-
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Tech Environment

SQL and Python

Airflow or Prefect

CI/CD and automated testing

What Were Looking For

Proven experience leading technical data engineering teams

Strong SQL and Python programming skills

Hands-on orchestration experience (Airflow or Prefect)

Deep expertise with dbt and analytics modeling

Experience operating Snowflake or Databricks at scale

Strong data modeling and schema design knowledge

Excellent stakeholder communication skills
Nice to Have

Streaming ingestion (Kafka EventHub)

Spark experience

Data governance and lineage tooling

Terraform or Pulumi exposure
