Job Summary

The Painter is responsible for performing skilled painting and surface-finishing work along with minor repair and maintenance duties to preserve and enhance the appearance of interior and exterior spaces. Working under general supervision this role ensures that walls ceilings woodwork and other surfaces are properly prepared repaired and finished to maintain high aesthetic and safety standards throughout the facility and associated locations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting projects ensuring smooth even and high-quality finishes

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning sanding patching priming and applying appropriate materials

• Complete repair work including spackling taping plastering and minor drywall/sheetrock repairs

• Conduct wood staining varnishing sealing and stripping as required

• Mix and match custom paint colors to meet project specifications

• Utilize spray equipment and specialty finishing techniques including marbelizing

• Protect surrounding areas by covering floors furniture fixtures and equipment prior to work

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and touch up as necessary

• Maintain tools equipment and work areas in a clean and organized manner

• Follow safety procedures when working on ladders scaffolding or elevated platforms

• Perform additional minor maintenance tasks as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Skills

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in the painting trade

• Strong knowledge of paints stains coatings finishes and proper application techniques

• Ability to mix custom colors and understand color matching principles

• Proficient in operating paint mixers shakers spray equipment and other related tools

• Experience with decorative finishing techniques such as marbelizing

• Ability to operate rigs and standard trade tools safely and effectively

• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring bending lifting and reaching
