Based at the Citys Depot in Crocker Street Rockingham youwill assist the Tree Maintenance team in undertaking hands onmaintenance of the Citys trees in public open space andstreetscapes so knowledge of horticultural practices relating totree care is a must. You will provide the required operationssupport to achieve high quality outcomes for urban greening in theCity.
It involves manual labour and/or operating machinery as requiredto perform tree planting and tree care maintenance activities. Itis therefore essential to have a current MR class driverslicence as well as a Construction Induction Training (WhiteCard).
You are a proactive team player enjoy working outdoors and havea keen interest in high quality urban greening activities and treecare maintenance in parks reserves and streetscapes. You need tobe able to work in either hot or inclement outdoorconditions.
To be considered for this role you must address thefollowing selection criteria as part of your onlineapplication:
- Arboriculture/Horticultural related industry operational experience
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment or able to work alone under direction
- Able to prioritise work and manage own time
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Literacy and numeracy skills
- Able to work in accordance with WHS industry obligations
We are offering a weekly wage of $1466 (gross) whichincorporates all allowances and penalty rates as wellas:
- 12% superannuation with theoptionto co-contribute up to a further 5%
