Sanitation Supervisor 3rd Shift
Hours: 9:00pm 5:30am (end time varies depending on production needs). Overtime
expected including weekend hours as needed.
Location: Watertown WI
Status: Full Time Hourly
Position Overview
The Sanitation Supervisor will perform as a proactive change agent in the facility and
provide support and direction to team members. The Sanitation Supervisor will be
expected to lead motivate and facilitate learning to achieve productivity results improve
individual skills and enhance teamwork.
This position ensures compliance with safety quality and sanitation requirements
functions as a technical and business resource in areas of system operations and works
toward continuous improvement within the department and facility. The Sanitation
Supervisor will lead actions for assigned duties and establish and sustain effective
relationships across departments to foster an environment where innovation cooperation
and ownership are used to solve problems.
Responsibilities
Coach lead and develop a team to consistently deliver strong performance
Lead develop and initiate process improvement efforts
Conduct and lead effective pre-shift meetings
Monitor and ensure timely completion of the master sanitation schedule
Ensure sanitation and food safety specifications are met train and coach team
members on those processes
Be responsible for performance productivity and efficient utilization of resources
Ensure appropriate leaders and team members are kept informed of problems or
issues that may affect their process
Communicate effectively with all departments and team members
Manage execution of the 7 steps of sanitation
Conduct environmental and bioluminescence swabbing
Complete sanitation documentation accurately
Demonstrate proper set-up and teardown knowledge of equipment within Finished
Goods/Harvest
Maintain in-depth knowledge of equipment functions and assist in troubleshooting
Identify and resolve potential problems and niche points
Create and implement new processes and procedures
Experience
Two years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role highly preferred
Basic sanitation experience preferred
Skills and Competencies
Knowledge of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
Ability to identify Critical Control Points (CCPs) in area of responsibility and
maintain all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently
Ability to make decisions with limited resources
Strong interpersonal skills
Dependable honest and proactive
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong math skills
Ability to comply with GMPs and safety rules at all times
Ability to become certified in chemical usage
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
Physical Demands
Ability to work at heights above ground level
Ability to lift carry push and pull up to 50 lbs and maintain hand grip up to 60 lbs
on a regular basis
Ability to work in cold and wet conditions
Ability to hold a hose for extended periods of time
