As an employee-owned company every team member has a stake in our success creating a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment where innovation Summary:The 3rd Shift Quality Inspector (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) is responsible for ensuring that all plastic products meet the companys quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting products at various stages of the manufacturing process performing tests and identifying any defects or issues that could affect product performance and safety. The Quality Inspector will work closely with production teams to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with quality Responsibilities: Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of plastic products to ensure they meet quality specifications. Perform tests to check for material strength durability and other physical properties. Use measuring tools such as calipers micrometers gauges and other inspection equipment to assess product dimensions and tolerances. Record and maintain detailed inspection reports including measurements test results and any identified defects. Prepare and update quality control checklists and procedures. Maintain accurate and organized records of all inspections and tests performed. Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to quality standards. Identify non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions. Work with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements. Ensure compliance with industry standards safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with production teams to provide feedback on quality issues. Participate in meetings to discuss quality control results and improvement strategies. Assist in training production staff on quality standards and inspection procedures. Suggest and implement improvements to inspection processes to enhance product quality and efficiency. Stay up-to-date with industry developments new inspection techniques and technological Were Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in quality control engineering or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a quality inspector in a plastics manufacturing environment. Familiarity with quality control standards (e.g. ISO 9001). Strong knowledge of inspection equipment and measuring tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and specifications. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in various environmental conditions including noise heat cold and exposure to chemicals. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses gloves and ear protection when on the manufacturing floor. Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments and withstand exposure to noise levels associated with manufacturing machinery.
