Job Summary

Description

The Configuration Manager will be a member of the Carry-on Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (STEI) team focusing primarily on focusing on tackling Configuration Management (CM) challenges for the STEI Family of Systems (FoS) in order to provide a streamlined configuration management solution and rapid release potential. The ideal candidate will have a history of direct involvement with successful hardware/software configuration management and be a meticulous organizer ready to tackle CM challenges within an enterprise software environment.

  • Maintaining CM over all candidate software releases and associated documentation
  • Maintaining CM through the development and fielding cycle for all hardware baselines from acceptance through sun-setting of the configuration
  • Tracking Software Version Descriptions (SVD) change requests and software/hardware baselines
  • Coordinating and organizing configuration management board meetings for review of change requests
  • Working with the capability Engineering teams to de-conflict and orchestrate integration of competing software branches
  • Being a team player dedicated to program support capable of multitasking and working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous or near simultaneous deadlines
  • Being a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new ideas

Requirements

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Minimum of five or more years of Hardware/Software Configuration Management experience using tools such as Git Subversion Clearcase BitBucket Ansible Puppet Chef or similar
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) Continuous Deployment (CD) principles
  • Familiarization with container concepts
  • Must currently hold a DoD 8140-compliant IAT II certification (Security CE with appropriate CE/OS certificate) or be able to obtain within six months
