Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated reliable and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial housekeeping or a related field is preferred it is not mandatory. Please be aware that applicants must successfully complete a background check. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for cleaning common areas maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and reporting any maintenance issues. -Position:Full-Time Custodian
-Location: Ward area (Honolulu HI 96814)
-Schedule: Sunday and Saturday: 2PM-10:30PM and Monday to Wednesday: 2PM-10PM(Days off: Thursday and Friday)
-Compensation per hour: $18.25

-Key Responsibilities:
Effective communication skills with a good understanding of English.
Ability to work in a various environments and conditions.
Be capable to stand walk and bend for extended periods.
Ensure the commercial space remains clean and well-maintained.
Clean and disinfect surfaces that are being touched frequently
-Perform cleaning tasks including:
Sweep dust mop
Cleaning glass doors and mirrors
Collecting and disposing of trash from bins wastebaskets and recyclables in designated areas
Replacing trash bag liners
Cleaning up spills
Ensure restrooms are clean and supplies are restocked as necessary.
Inform the appropriate HBM employee about any needed cleaning supplies or equipment.
Report safety concerns or building issues (e.g. burnt light bulbs).
Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or property manager.
Clean office spaces thoroughly.
Ability to work with heavy equipment.
-Skillfully utilize various cleaning machines such as:
Vacuum for indoor cleaning
Leaf blower for outdoor spaces
Power wash machine
Buffer or Scrub machine
Wipe down all tables and chairs effectively.
Lift trash from bins bend and navigate staircases as needed.
Push trash bins when necessary.
-Skills/Qualifications:
Must pass HBM prescreen.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid drivers license preferred but not required.
Previous janitorial custodian experience or related experience is preferred and willing to train.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Must have good public relations skills and communication.
Applicants must perform basic manual labor clean common areas frequently lift push pull carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs) be able to reach overhead grasp objects bend kneel crawl squat climb stretch walk stair and ladder climbing and stand throughout their shifts.
