Position Summary
This is a position in which the adjunct faculty member is responsible for instruction of students in the classroom setting within the PA Program in the School of Health Professions at the Concordia University Ann Arbor Campus.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for classroom instruction of a course.
- Facilitates a learning and caring environment which encourages critical thinking investigation self-direction and respect for the uniqueness of each individual.
- Evaluates student progress and maintains appropriate records.
- Remains current with trends issues and practices in the discipline.
- Contributes to the evaluation of student academic achievement and other evaluative processes of the Program.
- Upholds and promotes the Concordia University Mission and Core Values
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Effective oral and written communication in English and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use appropriate technology in the classroom.
- Flexibility to meet the needs of the specific division and students.
- Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)
Education and Experience
- Required: Graduate Degree in Physician Assistant Studies PharmD MD DO DPM or NP
- Teaching experience in PA/medical education. Active and current membership in professional and/or community organizations.
