As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Grandville MI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns document observations and communicate clearly with shoppers tenants and site teams while delivering customer service that reflects our agile reliable and innovative culture grounded in teamwork and integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants employees and visitors at a retail mall location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and post orders and by assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas corridors entrances loading areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify hazards maintenance concerns and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner providing timely notifications to site management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Control access through designated entry points by verifying authorization monitoring visitor flow and enforcing property rules related to loitering disorderly conduct and after-hours access.
• Complete detailed patrol and incident reports maintain activity logs and communicate observations during shift handoff to support consistent security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
