Job Description
As a Security Officer - Shipping Companyin Lake Orion MI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location you will monitor entry points verify badges and credentials and conduct routine patrols to help identify and discourage security-related concerns. You will remain visible communicate clearly with team members and visitors and deliver customer service with professionalism. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures access control policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby points by checking identification issuing temporary credentials managing visitor and contractor logs and directing drivers to designated areas.
- Monitor inbound and outbound freight activity by verifying appointments and documentation coordinating with site contacts and reporting irregularities per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner notifying Allied Universal supervision and site leadership as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility parking areas and perimeter documenting observations and reporting maintenance hazards and/or policy concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Loss Prevention experience preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
