Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Response Patrol in Jacksonville FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Armed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations support access control and work closely with site teams. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements post orders and Allied Universal policies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities yards and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access theft and/or tampering with utility infrastructure.
- Complete security-related reports document incidents and communicate observations and/or hazards to site leadership in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security law enforcement and/or military experience.
- Have a TSA issued TWIC.
- Have an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
