The DT Teacher will inspire students to develop technical skills creativity and problem-solving abilities. You will teach a range of Design & Technology areas including product design resistant materials graphics or engineering principles according to your expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons across KS3KS5.
Prepare students for GCSE and A Level examinations.
Monitor and track student progress implementing interventions where needed.
Contribute to departmental curriculum planning resources and assessment strategies.
Lead and supervise practical workshop sessions ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
Support enrichment activities including DT clubs competitions and STEM initiatives.
Encourage creativity innovation and problem-solving in all lessons.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop cross-curricular projects.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Degree in Design & Technology Product Design Engineering or related discipline.
Strong subject knowledge and practical expertise in multiple DT areas.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
Ability to plan differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
Passion for practical learning creativity and student achievement.
Collaborative and proactive approach to departmental and school initiatives.
