Our client is a well-established respected professional services firm with a long-standing history in British Columbia. They are currently seeking a Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to join their Marketing & Business Development team. This is an intermediate-level role suited to a detail-oriented relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Role Overview

The Marketing & Business Development Coordinator provides hands-on support to the Marketing & BD function within a dynamic mid-size firm. This role reports to the Manager Business Development & Marketing and works closely with practice group leaders lawyers and other internal stakeholders to execute internal and external marketing and business development initiatives.

The ideal candidate is organized proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities while contributing to both short-term deliverables and long-term marketing strategies.

Core Responsibilities

Communications & Marketing

  • Develop timely polished on-brand promotional content to enhance the firms market profile including:
    • Print and digital collateral: Coordinate the development and delivery of marketing materials for advertising sponsorships seminars industry associations mailouts graphics and other promotional initiatives.
    • Digital communications: Produce and distribute electronic marketing materials such as e-blasts e-vites newsletters and holiday greetings.
    • Social media: Maintain and enhance the firms social media presence by planning and developing content and campaigns aligned with firm and lawyer initiatives.
    • LinkedIn support: Assist lawyers with LinkedIn best practices to strengthen their professional profiles and online visibility.
    • Website coordination: Update lawyer biographies practice pages student pages and other website content as required; support special web projects including initiatives focused on AI visibility and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO); assist with the development and rollout of a new firm website.
    • Directories and rankings: Coordinate submissions for legal directories and professional rankings and research new platforms to promote the firm and its lawyers.
    • CRM database: Support the firms CRM platform to advance marketing initiatives business development efforts and relationship-building activities.

Practice & Industry Group Support

  • Support practice and industry group initiatives including:
    • Researching relevant associations and professional networks to identify business development opportunities such as events and sponsorships.
    • Assisting with award nomination and submission processes.

General Administration

  • Maintain marketing and business development filing and document management systems.
  • Assist with departmental accounts payable and cheque requisitions.
  • Coordinate professional photoshoots for lawyer website bios.
  • Provide logistical and on-site support for client events as needed.
  • Assist with sponsorship coordination including managing sponsored tables and attendance.
  • Conduct industry and market research and support additional projects as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors degree in business marketing communications or a related field.
  • 35 years of marketing and business development experience preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly persuasively and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining discretion professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable embracing AI and evolving technology; strong technical skills including Microsoft Office CRM systems email marketing platforms Excel and analytical tools.
  • Collaborative team player with a flexible adaptable mindset and a proactive approach.
  • Self-motivated able to work independently and capable of setting priorities while contributing positively to cross-functional teams.
