Job Summary
Honeywells Security and Access Solutions business provide high-value security products and services that are critical for buildings around the globe. Building operators and security teams across dynamically evolving verticals depend on our mobile- and cloud enabled technologies for access control intrusion detection and locking solutions to help create safer and more efficient facilities.
You will be joining one of our most strategic initiatives to build a cloud-based software-as-a-service unified security solution supporting access control video and monitoring capabilities. As part of the engineering team you will work in a continuous delivery environment and contribute to features that directly impact our customers daily.
The Software Engineer will drive feature planning and design sessions architect and implement software solutions assist with test plans and documentation and maintain those solutions. This position produces significant results through technical and team leadership and the building of strong coaching/mentoring peer relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and possesses excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robust multi-tenant cloud solutions within a delivery team.
- Leverage persona-based development to ensure our products meet customers needs
- Work within a full stack cross-functional delivery team to deliver incremental customer-facing features
- Participate in peer review to both share and receive feedback
- Architecting designing developing and testing as needed withing a delivery team
Qualifications
MUST HAVE
- 7 years of experience with architecture and development of modern web applications and/or cloud services
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript and Typescript language and functional programming
- Extensive experience building on RESTful web services
- Ability to organize large-scale codebases using common JavaScript patterns
- Modern JavaScript frameworks and tools such as Nodejs React and Webpack
- Experienced developing with cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Desire to learn new programming languages and technologies as requirements evolve
- Experience with building event-based and micro-service style architecture
WE VALUE
- Hands-on work with video software systems involving protocols IoT and device ecosystems.
- A strong portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing web development experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS GCP) and serverless architecture
- Experience designing and working with continuous integration systems unit testing and automated integration testing
- Experience with distributed systems network security automation tools and system analysis
- Experience building scalable solutions with zero-downtime deployment
