We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Battery Storage Analyst Intern to join our Development team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in grid-connected battery storage projects in several markets throughout the US. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth review and analyze emerging policy frameworks and contribute to high-impact projects. Candidates should be self-driven desire to learn quickly in a fast-paced work environment and comfortable interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and summarize enabling policy frameworks (both emerging and existing) to support energy storage on the distribution system
- Support operational and financial modeling for prospective energy storage projects in key markets
- Analyze utility tariffs IRPs and RFPs to identify new business opportunities
- Support creation of internal templates for development vendor documentation and other process improvements
- Evaluate and run battery storage dispatch software models
- Support creation of business plans and executive committee presentations
- Support Policy team evaluating energy storage programs and legislative proceedings
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Business Engineering Finance Environmental Science Sustainability Policy & Regulatory Affairs Geographic Information Systems GIS or related field with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel Word Access Outlook PowerPoint) basic familiarity with Google Earth.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of people in changing situations.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Candidates may be subject to assessment of skills job match or aptitude.
