Assists radiologic technologists in preparing patients for procedures positioning patients and operating imaging equipment.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

Prepares patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
Operates and maintains radiologic equipment ensuring it is in good working condition.
Assists radiologic technologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
Monitors patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
Maintains patient records and ensures that all necessary information is accurately documented.
Follows safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.

Education Requirement:

High School graduate or equivalent required.
Current student ofan accredited Radiologic Technology Program preferred.

Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

CPR certification required.

Skills:

Ability to learn new proceduresfollow instructions and establish professional rapport with patients staff and physicians.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Experience:

Three quarters of experience as a student radiographer preferred.
