DescriptionThe CAD Supervisor provides daily leadership and technical oversight for CAD resources supporting Engineered-to-Order (ETO) and sustaining engineering. This role ensures accurate timely delivery of engineering drawings 3D models and CAD data that meet customer requirements internal standards and manufacturing needs.
The position leads mechanical design documentation and CAD data management supporting customer configurations and product improvements. It partners closely with Engineering Simulation Manufacturing Supply Chain Quality Marketing and suppliers to align design intent with manufacturing execution.
Reporting to the CAD Manager the CAD Supervisor drives operational efficiency CAD standardization and continuous improvement. The role directly supervises CAD personnel managing workload planning performance support and skill development
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Provide day to day supervision and technical leadership for the CAD team supporting engineered to order customer designs and sustaining engineering work.
Assign prioritize and balance work across the CAD team to support project schedules customer commitments and business objectives.
Ensure the creation checking and release of high quality 2D drawings and 3D models in compliance with internal standards and ASME Y14.5 2009 GD&T requirements.
Support the layout and design of valves trim and actuation components in accordance with established engineering practices.
Serve as a primary interface between CAD resources and cross functional stakeholders to resolve design quality or manufacturability issues.
Ensure accuracy in engineering calculations including minimum wall thickness stem lengths surface area mass properties and unit conversions (metric to imperial).
Oversee setup validation and maintenance of part numbers and engineering data within enterprise systems including Oracle.
Originate and support engineering change requests and related documentation.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives related to CAD tools workflows standards and data quality.
Train coach and mentor CAD team members on CAD software modeling practices drafting standards and engineering procedures.
Maintain regular interaction with global CAD teams to support standardization and best practice sharing.
Support preparation for project meetings design reviews and cross functional coordination activities.
Create and maintain CAD documentation standards and best practice guidelines.
Provide ongoing feedback and performance support to CAD team members in alignment with departmental and business goals.

For This Role You Will Need:
Associates degree in a CAD related field or a degree in industrial technology manufacturing technology mechanical engineering industrial design or a related discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of CAD related experience preferably within a manufacturing or engineered to order environment.
Ability to generate review and approve 2D drawings and 3D models for parts and assemblies of varying complexity.
Experience using 3D models to evaluate mass properties volume surface area and center of gravity.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints including supply chain manufacturing and quality considerations.
In depth understanding of metallic materials and manufacturing methods including castings forgings and stampings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including use of Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
General computer and digital literacy.
Legal authorization to work in the United States - visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Proficiency with parametric CAD modeling tools; SolidWorks and PDM Pro.
Strong working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 2009 including symbology dimensioning practices view placement and projection.
Prior experience providing technical leadership or work direction is preferred.
Experience with SolidWorks specialty modules such as Simulation Composer DriveWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
SolidWorks Certification (CSWA).
