The Vice President of Corporate Applications & Data reports to the CIO and is a strong seasoned enterprise leader known for collaborating across functions developing talent inspiring change at all levels and elevating organizational performance. This person is the senior executive accountable for strategy delivery and operational excellence across Nutriens enterprise corporate applications data platforms and analytics ecosystem. This leader will drive integration modernization and performance of core systems supporting Corporate Functionsincluding Finance HR Legal Corporate Development Communications and Enterprise Reportingaligned with Nutriens global operating model and data strategy.


Responsibilities will include formalizing and leading a team of IT Business partners that will create trusting relationships across all Nutrien internal clients. This team will bring a consistency discipline and efficient processes including customer engagement deep understanding of business plans and translate the technology and budget requirements to enable that plan. Managing demand prioritizing spend and continual communications will be critical. The leader of this function must possess demonstrable advanced communication presentation and engagement skills across all senior levels of leadership while effectively managing a team of senior IT staff.


This executive brings inspired leadership a decisive yet collaborative approach and a proven ability to shape culture modernize technology ecosystems and influence strategic direction across the enterprise.


With a commanding executive presence and extensive experience presenting to and influencing Boards of Directors this leader articulates a compelling vision for the future of data applications and digital capability. They unify teams accelerate transformation and ensure technology serves as a catalyst for measurable business value.

What Youll Do:

  • Strategic & Enterprise Responsibilities:
    • Enterprise Vision & Alignment: Develop and execute an enterprise strategy for applications and data platforms that anticipates market shifts and aligns with corporate priorities.
    • Executive Influence & Communication: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives and the Board presenting complex concepts clearly and shaping enterprise decisions.
    • Organizational Culture & Change Leadership: Lead cultural transformation by fostering accountability innovation and continuous improvement.
    • People-Centered Leadership: Build mentor and empower high-performing teams; cultivate future leaders; and promote collaboration and excellence.

    • Business Enablement through Technology: Ensure data and application capabilities drive revenue growth efficiency and customer experience.
    • Advanced Insights & Innovation: Champion AI machine learning and predictive analytics to unlock new business models.
    • Cloud-Native & Scalable Infrastructure: Lead evolution toward resilient scalable and costoptimized cloud environments (e.g. Snowflake Databricks Azure).
    • Data Governance & Trust: Establish enterprise-wide standards for data quality security and compliance.
  • Strategic Success Metrics:
    • Market Impact: Gains in market share customer retention or competitive positioning.
    • Innovation Velocity: Faster delivery of digital products analytics solutions and new business models.
    • Cultural Transformation: Improvements in collaboration accountability and adoption of modern ways of working.

What Youll Bring:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Science Information Systems or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15 years of progressive technology leadership with a history of delivering largescale transformation and measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with impact at all levels including Boards of Directors Csuite leaders and operational teams.
  • Proven ability to translate technology strategy into financial and competitive advantage.
