Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced Director of Government Relations for Arizona to help shape the future of a newly independent global aerospace and defense leader. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company at the forefront of aerospace innovation with a strong presence in Arizona and a commitment to shaping the future of commercial aviation and defense.
You will oversee all legislative regulatory and policy advocacy in Arizona to include coordinating state incentives for future expansion plans. A key responsibility is to drive a cohesive state strategy by building strong relationships represent our interests at the local and state levels.
You will influence policy in commercial aviation and industrial innovation advocating on behalf of Honeywells broad portfolio of advanced aerospace technologies. This role represents a unique opportunity to design and execute an integrated government relations strategy that strengthens Honeywells position with policymakers and strategic stakeholders across the state.
Honeywell Aerospace technologies are found on every commercial defense and space aircraft worldwide. Our products include aircraft engines cockpit and cabin electronics wireless connectivity systems mechanical components and navigation technologies.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with Arizona local and state officials state associations institutions and other key stakeholders.
- Advocate for Honeywell Aerospace positions on legislative and regulatory issues.
- Support requests for state incentives to support expansion.
- Monitor and analyze relevant legislative and regulatory developments.
- Develop strategies to address risks and leverage opportunities in the Arizona policy landscape.
- Represent Honeywell Aerospace in industry forums coalitions and events.
- Provide strategic policy guidance aligned with business objectives.
- When required work issues in other Western States (e.g. California Washington).
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
- 10 years of experience in Arizona government relations or policy advocacy ideally within the aerospace or advanced technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge of local and state decisionmaking processes and how to navigate them effectively.
- Experience influencing policy driving advocacy strategies and shaping regulatory outcomes.
