Job Summary

Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00/Hour. Commensurate with experience
Typical shifts are 3pm-12am
Overview:
The Per Diem Bartender supports the successful execution of private events at the Housing Works Bookstore by providing high quality bar service.
This role is responsible for preparing and serving beverages maintaining a clean and organized bar area delivering excellent guest service and ensuring all alcohol service complies with organizational policies and legal position requires professionalism reliability and the ability to adapt to a variety of event formats and guest needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up bar stations according to event specifications including stocking beverages garnishes glassware and supplies.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete consumption report for each event.
  • Provide warm attentive and professional service to all guests throughout the event.
  • Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service at all times.
Educational Requirements
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Bartending experience required
  • TIPS or equivalent New York State alcohol awareness certification required
