Provide basic hands-on patient/resident care in a safe clean infection controlled environment by bathing dressing grooming hygiene skin care range of motion positioning ambulating transferring toileting programs feeding programs transporting performing basic assessments (vital signs blood pressures weights etc.) and charting/documenting all of the above. This is a fully-operational position responsible for performing the full range of client aide tasks and problem-solving.
Job duties include but are not limited to:- Under the direction of nursing staff provide direct resident care to include bathing dressing undressing assisting in and out of bed performing personal hygiene feeding programs toileting programs range of motion transporting and interacting socially to meet residents basic needs. Explaining patient care before during and after contacts; answering call lights; assessing basic resident care needs; and updating noted resident changes
- Under the direction of nursing staff perform basic assessments vital signs blood pressure weight intake and output and basic skin assessments
- Under the direction of nursing staff provide infection control implement/use universal precautions and dispose of waste. Clean linen room and equipment stock supplies and complete supply forms
- Under the direction of nursing staff performs correct use of safety/positioning devices side rails transfer belts and proper use of equipment and attends ongoing staff education programs.

Minimum Qualifications Substitutions Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensure/Certification/Experience:- High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
Substitutions:- Current valid certification as a Nurse Aide (CNA) from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies will substitute for the high school diploma or GED
Special Qualifications:- Must hold and maintain an active CNA certification in good standing from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies as well as a current BLS Healthcare Provider Card.
Preferred Qualification:- Experience in a long-term care/assisted living environment
- Experience transporting/driving residents
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- FULL BACKGROUND CHECK: This position will have direct contact with vulnerable persons (as defined by C.R.S.: Direct contact means providing face-to-face care training supervision counseling consultation or medication assistance to vulnerable persons regardless of the level of supervision of the department employee. Direct contact may include positions in which persons have access to or unsupervised time with clients or patients including but not limited to maintenance personnel housekeeping staff kitchen staff and security personnel.)

- Must possess a valid non-restricted Colorado Drivers License or a non-restricted U.S. Drivers License for positions within 30 miles of the CO state border
- Out-of-State Drivers License holders must obtain a valid non-restricted Colorado Drivers License within 30 days of employment start date.
- Must complete and pass TB test and any other vaccinations as required by the facility.
- Must be willing to obtain vaccinations as required by the State and facility
- Must be willing to test for Tuberculosis (TB)
- May be required to travel/transport residents in state vehicles
- Required to have a current valid BLS Healthcare Provider Card
- May require on-call status if needed per the pay plan for this position
