Role Overview
The family are seeking an experienced Night Nanny / Maternity Nurse to provide overnight care feeding support and a nurturing presence for their newborn. This role is best suited to someone who is gentle and intuitive and who follows the babys needs rather than enforcing strict sleep-training methods.
This is not a regimented or one-size-fits-all arrangement the family values warmth empathy patience and maternal instinct.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent overnight care for the newborn from 7pm9am
- Support with feeding (breast/bottle) burping and settling
- Hold soothe and comfort the baby when necessary throughout the night
- Assist with establishing healthy sleep habits without rigid training methods
- Maintain a hygienic and calm sleep environment
- Offer guidance to parents in a respectful and supportive way
- Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times
Interview Process
Initial interview with the family in person
Service quality and fit will be assessed naturally once the baby arrives in March
Requirements
- Preferably you have raised your own children
- Long-term professional experience working with newborns and infants
- Warm nurturing and emotionally attuned approach
- Comfortable with contact and soothing no strict sleep-training or military-style routines
- Serene and patient personality
- High level of personal hygiene
- No cat owner (due to toddlers allergy)
- Excellent references from previous private families
- Up to date enhanced DBS
- Right to work in the UK
- Up to date first aid pediatric
