As Director of Marketing Strategy for Grassroots Fundraising & Development you will play a key leadership role within StandTogethersMarketing Strategy Team. Reporting to the Managing Director of Marketing Strategy for Fundraising and Development you will drive strategic marketing efforts that deepen donor engagement acquisition of ideal donorpartnersand help develop donor leadership.

You will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing plans that fuel grassroots donor acquisition retention and advocacy. Your success will depend on your ability to collaborate across the Stand Together communityincludingthe politicaleditorial project management and other cross functionalteamsto translate insights into compelling campaigns that movedonors from awareness to engagement to sustained support. You will alsoidentifyand act ontimelymoments that elevate our messagedemonstrateimpact and strengthen relationships with current and prospectivedonors.

As a senior leader on the team you will serve as the primary marketing strategist for grassroots fundraising initiatives driving execution while aligning stakeholders and capabilities acrossMarCommsto deliver cohesive multi-channel engagement journeys.

How You Will Contribute

    • Strategic Planning & Grassroots Growth
    • Develop and drive integrated multi-channel marketing strategies that expand grassroots donor acquisition donor engagment and partner leadership.
    • Build engagement journeys that move donors from awareness to financial participation to advocacy.
    • Identify high-potential audience segments and create targeted activation strategies.
    • Leverage both qualitative insights and quantitative data to inform strategy and optimize tactics.
    • Align marketing strategies to fundraising priorities and assist in prioritizing among the broader grass roots strategies.

    • Campaign Development & Execution
    • Lead on developing marketing briefs that align to overall marketing strategy political objectives and fundraising goals.
    • Partner cross-functionally to execute integrated campaigns across email video social paid media events webinars and digital platforms.
    • Oversee development and optimization of grassroots fundraising collateral and enablement assets.
    • Support rapid-response opportunities tied to policy moments or partnership opportunities.
    • Ensure consistent messaging while allowing flexibility for authentic storytelling.

    • Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Serve as the primary liaison between grassroots fundraising team and MarComms capability teams.
    • Collaborate with editorial digital creative and communications teams to ensure alignment and campaign excellence.
    • Collaborate with project management to manage briefs timelines agency relationships and performance expectations.
    • Foster strong knowledge-sharing practices and feedback loops across internal teams and partners.

    • Leadership & Vision
    • Champion a clear grassroots marketing vision that reinforces bottom-up empowerment and community-driven change.
    • Model principled leadership and strengthen a culture of innovation accountability and collaboration.
    • Contribute to broader strategic planning initiatives within Marketing and Development.

    • Reporting Testing & Optimization
    • Define KPIs aligned with grassroots fundraising and engagement goals.
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance audience insights and market trends to refine strategy.
    • Implement experimentation frameworks (A/B testing segmentation testing channel optimization).
    • Deliver performance reporting and insights to senior stakeholders.

    • Operational Development
    • Partner with Marketing and Development leadership to build and scale the grassroots fundraising marketing function.
    • Identify process gaps and implement systems that improve efficiency scalability and cross-team collaboration.
    • Develop repeatable frameworks for campaign planning audience journeys and performance tracking.

What You Will Bring

    • 10 years of professional experience inB2Bmarketingorfundraising marketingwith progressive leadership growth anda track recordof exceptional performance; nonprofit or advocacy experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated success translating high-level organizationalobjectivesinto integrated grassroots marketing strategies with clear goals KPIs and measurable outcomes.
    • Experience developing and executing multi-channel campaigns that drivedonor acquisition retention and recurring giving.
    • Proven ability to collaborate across complex matrixed organizations and influence without direct authority.
    • Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams agency partners and senior stakeholders.
    • Experience contributing to high-performance teams that value inclusion accountability and principled leadership.
    • Operational mindset with the ability to build scalable processes that enhance execution improve campaign effectiveness and increase grassroots fundraising impact.
