Assistant Superintendent for Special Programs and Support Services

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Appropriate educational administration degree
- Appropriate state licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience
- Possess positive collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership skills
AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Provide leadership and direction to the district fiscal management program.
- Provide leadership and direction to the districtsfacilities program.
- Provide leadership and direction to the districts support services programs including transportation child nutrition maintenance custodial and grounds health services clerical technology and student activities.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the development management monitoring and reporting requirements of the district business services office.
- Administratively supervise athletic programs and extracurricular activities.
- Administratively supervise the districts grounds custodial and maintenance programs.
- Administratively supervise the districts transportation program.
- Administratively supervise the districts child nutrition health services and technology programs.
- Administratively supervise district-wide externally funded programs.
- Assume responsibility for the comprehensive overall planning and scheduling of maintenance and repair requirements of the district.
- Prepare and administer the budget for maintenance grounds transportation custodial food service and technology operations.
- Maintain long-term facilities plans including care of school district buildings new construction land campuses equipment and supplies.
- Supervise and inspect the improvement and renovation work performed by outside contractors and verify that the terms of all such contracts have been fulfilled before authorizing final payments.
- Disseminate district crises plans and providein-service to ensure systematic implementation of processes and procedures.
- Determine and establish detailed specifications pertaining to supplies materials equipment and local contract work.
- Follow the districts purchasing policy when spending district funds.
- Keep the superintendent informed of problems and/or potential problems as they arise.
- Perform other dutiesas assigned.
Salary: Applicable experience and educational level on certified salary schedule with a multiplier of 1.87500
