Civmec is experiencing continued growth within its Balance Machines division and is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join its procurement team based in our Perth CBD Office.
In this role you will be reporting to the Balance Machine Procurement and Contracts Manager and will be instrumental to supporting the delivery of complex construction and manufacturing projects by managing procurement and subcontract activities from tender through to contract closeout. Working closely with commercial engineering and project teams you will play a key role in ensuring Civmecs commercial and contractual interests are protected while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.

The Role
- Manage procurement and subcontract activities from tender through to execution and closeout ensuring Civmecs commercial and contractual interests are protected.
- Prepare issue and manage RFT/RFQ documentation including evaluation of submissions commercial recommendations and risk assessment.
- Lead commercial negotiations and coordinate technical / legal input to achieve optimal cost risk and value outcomes for the business.
- Administer subcontract agreements postaward including progress claims variations performance monitoring disputes and closeout.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify manage and communicate commercial risks while maintaining accurate auditready procurement and contract documentation.
About You
Your experience should include the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualification desirable such as Quantity Surveying Construction Management Commercial or Law but not essential;
- Minimum 3 years experience in procurement with a strong focus on managing procurement activities from tender through to execution and closeout.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with subcontractors and internal stakeholders both written and verbal.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel Word and Outlook with the ability to manage commercial records and reporting efficiently.
