Role description:

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual who wants to progress their career with a growing global consultancy working on challenging and often ground-breaking projects to Join ARCADIS.

The role is comprised of a variety of environmental professional service tasks and responsibilities and will see you involved in delivering impact assessment for planning and consenting permitting and regulatory compliance assessments environmental audits and environmental compliance assessments. The projects you will be involved in will be varied ranging in complexity subject areas and sectors of industry. The role would offer an opportunity to influence and have an impact across the business providing diversity and learning experiences and the opportunity for swift career progression.

Role accountabilities:

  • Technical project delivery of impact assessment for planning and consenting permitting environmental audits and regulatory compliance assessments and monitoring and management services related to project approvals and natural area management.
  • Preparation of environmental reports for permitting and consenting (including EIA and AAI) and planning studies including providing advice and direction regarding project approval pathways
  • Contributing to business development; identifying pursuing and securing additional opportunities for work that will deliver tangible client and community benefits.
  • Pursuing with support opportunities to improve your technical and non-technical skills contributing to developing the skills of other team members.
  • Working collaboratively across our relevant service lines and global network of environmental professionals.
  • Linking in with the team meetings and supporting colleagues across the multiple SO teams.
  • Developing broader skills to support your technical growth with bid writing budget building creating win themes and collaborating to help grow a successful consulting business.

Qualifications & Experience:

To deliver against these responsibilities you will demonstrate consulting experience in the following technical capabilities:

  • Proven experience in environmental consultancy (or similar) with proven ability to apply EIA Regulations including experience preparing approval documents to support consenting processes with an in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in environmental consultancy is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely and effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to environmental challenges.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development taking on board feedback and staying informed about the latest industry trends and advancements.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills: a strong team player who builds rapport with both internal & external stakeholders and mentors less experienced team members.
  • The commitment to deliver high quality and technically robust project outcomes to tight timeframes and within budgets.
  • English: high level of spoken and written is necessary as most of the clients are international.
