Job Description
This teamis responsible forsourcing Technology purchases(Software Software as a Service Infrastructure) on a regional and global basis. Primary responsibility is to develop negotiate and implement sourcing strategies by working with key stakeholders on technology requirements IT security and legal which then requires preparing and completing sourcing recommendations to various levels of management.
What Youll Do:
Understand the IT industry and thestrategicdirection GM/Software and Services is headed.
Ability to work effectively cross-functionallyinternallyand externally while building strong relationships
Partner with IT and Business on strategy of supply base technologies products used future products technology roadmap andviablesuppliers for technology requirements.
Work with Suppliers on governance and deliveriesincludingsoundunderstanding of deadlineslead times suppliercontractsand application types.
Active participation with key stakeholders including Software and ServicesIT the business stakeholders Legal Securityand Privacy among others.
Proactivelymanage annual renewal cadence and deadlines.
Adheres tocorporate purchasing and accounting policies and procedures.
Negotiatecompetitive pricingfavorableand robustterms and other items to completeafull contract package.
Develop andmaintainbenchmark data to drive a strategy
Utilize GPSC Sourcing Process to manage Sourcing packages while navigating ambiguous situations.
Utilize GPSC Sourcing Process (Request for Quotation Analysis of Quotation Source Selection) toestablisha capable/competitive supply base.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
2 years ofrelevant experienceinpurchasing(any internship or co-op experience will not be considered)
Understanding of Legal and Commercial Terms and Conditionswiththeabilityto negotiate and assess risk
Projectmanagementskills
Understand basicsoftwareconcepts
Capability to function independentlyand navigate ambiguous situations
Proficient communication skills
High level knowledge (or ability to learn) about items being purchased
Analytical skills including the ability to do in-depth benchmarking
Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and prioritize requests
Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
Knowledge of computer software (MS Word ExcelPowerPoint Internet Research)
SAP experience or ability to learn purchasing systems
Must be willing to travel 5% of the time domestically Internationally
Preferred :
BachelorsDegree
Experience with IT Technology or Software
Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paidin accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New YorkColorado California or Washington.
The salary range for this role is ( 95200- 126500 ). The actual basesalary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance job level and individualperformance.
