As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol Detail in San Jose CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location you will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible and support access control and visitor flows while documenting security-related activity. You will be a calm professional presence who communicates clearly provides customer service and helps build a welcoming environment for employees and guests. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients employees and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices labs common areas parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points verify credentials as directed manage visitor check-in and/or badging and communicate site rules in a professional manner.
• Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with on-site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed written reports patrol logs and incident documentation and communicate significant observations to supervision and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
