St. Ambrose University and the Mount Mercy University campus located in Cedar Rapids IA seeks a dedicated and highly organized Nursing Advisor & Clinical Compliance Coordinator. This position supports nursing students academic success and ensures all clinical compliance requirements are met to maintain program accreditation and secure clinical placements. This role provides educational guidance and assistance for students by planning schedules recommending courses and determining appropriate education solutions for all pre-licensure BSN transfer students. The ideal candidate will be organized student-centered and knowledgeable about nursing education and healthcare regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track student compliance for all undergraduate clinical placements.
- Maintains compliance with clinical and industry requirements.
- Communicate clinical compliance requirements and deadlines to students clearly and consistently.
- Provide holistic academic advising for all pre-licensure BSN transfer students including course planning student success progression tracking and graduation planning.
- Serve as a liaison between students faculty and administrative offices for academic support needs.
- Serves as a liaison to undergraduate admissions on engagement with prospective students in the recruitment process.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelors degree health related area.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing education academic advising or clinical compliance preferred.
- Expertise managing complex database systems
- Excellent interpersonal and professional behaviors
- Strong organizational communication and technology skills
- Personal qualities of tact and diplomacy; ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality to initiate and conduct work with minimal supervision and to accept constructive criticism
