AECOM Mississauga is hiring a Governance Manager.
The Governance Manager is responsible for managing the daytoday operation of the programs governance framework to enable effective timely and wellsupported decisionmaking. This role ensures governance forums run efficiently supports senior leaders in preparing decision materials and drives continuous improvement in governance processes templates and capability-building. This role works closely with the governance lead directors delivery partners project teams and executives to maintain clarity of roles decision rights and accountability across the program.

Key Responsibilities
Governance Operations & Process Management
Manage the day-to-day functioning of the governance framework (meeting cycles prep follow-ups).
Track and evaluate the quality timeliness and completeness of decision-making.
Maintain and refine the governance decision-making log.
Identify bottlenecks or recurrent failure points and propose solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with directors project leads and technical teams to prepare governance papers business cases decision packages and briefing materials.
Identify and support a network of governance champions across both the transit agency and the delivery partner.
Provide guidance to teams on governance pathways including which committee board or forum should review and make decisions on specific items.
Facilitate communication and coordination across teams to ensure readiness for governance milestones.
Continuous Improvement
Lead lessonslearned exercises related to governance effectiveness decision-making quality and process efficiency.
Refine and maintain governance templates workflows decision pathways and RACI models.
Design and coordinate governance capabilitybuilding sessions training and briefings for program teams.
Monitor emerging best practices in publicsector and transit-industry governance and integrate improvements where applicable..
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years of experience in governance PMO public sector operations or large program delivery.
Experience in a Canadian public-sector environment (municipal regional provincial agency) is an asset.
Training or certification in process improvement project management or change management considered an asset Knowledge of governance frameworks decision-rights models RACI charts and program/portfolio management structures.
Strong organizational and process-management skills.
Ability to assess process performance identify systemic issues and propose improvements.
Experience preparing executive-level materials (decision papers business cases briefing notes).
Strong written and visual communication skills (clarity structure conciseness).
Ability to build relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external delivery partners.
Skilled at navigating complex organizational structures with multiple decision-makers.
Understanding of public-sector governance committee structures accountability frameworks and decision-making processes.
Familiarity with major capital projects transit operations or infrastructure delivery models (an asset).
Experience with PMO practices program controls and public-sector documentation standards.
