Experienced Bilingual Caregiver (Hindi) Needed ASAP
Opportunity in Watertown CT
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to provide non-medical in-home support for a client that has dementia and often reverts to her native language Gujarati and follows a vegetarian lifestyle rooted in traditional cultural practices. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively in the clients preferred language or Hindi and prepare vegetarian meals consistent with cultural preferences.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance (as needed)
- Prepare fresh vegetarian meals in accordance with client preferences
- Assist with light housekeeping related to client care
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Support activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Accompany client to appointments or errands if required
Qualifications:
- Experience preparing vegetarian Indian cuisine
- Prior care giving experience required
- Reliable patient and respectful of cultural traditional and dietary practices
- Eligible to work in the United States
- I9 professional references and background checks required
