As Room Leader you will take responsibility for leading your room ensuring high standards of care and education while supporting and guiding your team.

Before You Apply

• This role requires a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum).
• You must have recent experience working in a nursery setting ideally with room leadership or senior practitioner responsibilities.

What Youll Need

• Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 desirable)
• Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Recent experience within an early years setting
• Experience supporting mentoring or leading colleagues
• Confidence managing ratios safeguarding and compliance standards
• Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

Desirable

• Paediatric First Aid certification

What Youll Do

• Lead the day-to-day running of your designated room
• Plan and oversee structured EYFS-aligned activities
• Support mentor and guide practitioners within the room
• Act as key person for a group of children ensuring high-quality observations and assessments
• Monitor learning records and ensure planning reflects individual development needs
• Maintain safeguarding health and safety and regulatory compliance standards
• Work closely with management to maintain consistent practice across the nursery
• Build strong relationships with parents communicating clearly about progress and wellbeing
