About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- B.E./ in Electrical Engineering (M.E./ preferred).
- 25 years (Project Engineer) or 1015 years (Electrical Engineer) of experience in industrial/commercial power systems with demonstrable PDC/switchgear replacement and brownfield upgrade projects.
- Hands on exposure to MV/LV systems (up to 33 kV typical) protection & controls earthing/grounding and commissioning.

The Role
As an Associate Project Engineer with Worley you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- The Project Engineer/Manager (PE/PM) and executes brownfield and greenfield electrical projects with a primary focus on replacement refurbishment and modernization of Power Distribution Centers (PDC) and associated LV/MV systems. The role ensures safe timely and cost effective delivery technical integrity regulatory compliance and client satisfaction while driving continuous improvement and digital ways of working across the project lifecycle.
- The PM/ PE shall be experienced electrical engineer having technical competencies in Electrical distribution system designs capable of producing equipment sizing calculations Protection and Control philosophies Single line Diagrams Selection of equipments based on Hazardous Area Classification Earthing and Lightning calculations Procurement and layout engineering.
- Experienced in preparation of frame agreement for PDCs Switchgears with an intention of standardization minimizing spares and defining the prices at the beginning of project.
- The PM/PE shall be responsible for leading a team of professionals and will be responsible for the delivery of the projects in time and in line with organizational strategy in a safe & fully compliant manner to the satisfaction of the client.
- The PM/PE shall work collaboratively across the Organization to optimize performance drive growth and maintain and augment the integrity of the assigned project and systems.
- The PM/PE role would involve working collaboratively with people across disciplines and geographies while directing & leading his team to achieve Organizational goals.
- The PM/PE shall have a mindset of operational excellence and continuous improvement. Optimal use of resources with a focus on Technical Integrity Safety sustainability and digitization will be a key aspect of this role.
- Review Workhour estimates and Schedule of deliverables for the discipline on projects carried out by respective Leads.
- Involve in major issues & problem solving achieving Project milestones and guide leads in implementation of Lessons Learned across Program/Projects.
- Resolve Interface issues by coordinating with other discipline Lead/ section heads.
- Project Management & Planning
- Own overall scope schedule cost risk and quality for assigned PDC replacement and electrical upgrade projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
- Develop and maintain project execution plans WBS resource plans budgets and look ahead schedules report progress and variances with clear recovery actions.
- Lead interdisciplinary coordination (civil/structural HVAC instrumentation automation) and interface management across engineering procurement construction and commissioning (EPCC).
- Prepare review and endorse Project Change Requests (PCRs); steward change control and configuration management.
- Organize internal alignment (IAP) sessions technical reviews HAZIDs/HAZOPs (as applicable) constructability and maintainability workshops.
- Electrical Engineering & Design
- Perform and/or review calculations sizing and selection for MV/LV switchgear bus ducts transformers MCCs drives UPS earthing/grounding lightning protection cables and protection systems.
- Lead PDC replacement engineering: single line diagrams (SLDs) GA/layouts room layouts cable routing protection coordination short circuit & arc flash studies load flow motor starting and harmonic analysis.
- Define technical specifications data sheets and evaluation criteria; review vendor documents and FAT procedures; drive standardization and lessons learned.
- Ensure designs meet statutory code and client standards (e.g. IEEE NEMA IEC) and cybersecurity considerations for intelligent electronic devices (IEDs).
