Our growing global supply chain company is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist and support their accounting function on daily operational transactions and month-end duties. The Staff Accountant will be involved in supporting the daily A/P & A/R operations and G/L transactions including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations and updating financial records and statements. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Assist and maintain general ledger activity with the preparation of journal entries account reconciliations and account analysis
- Support Accounts Payable by processing invoices and payments
- Support Accounts Receivable by processing billings and payments deposits and assuring clearance of cash receipts
- Assist with annual tax documentation and audit support preparation
- Partner with internal departments for financial accounting matters
- Partner with and handle vendor communications to facilitate smooth business partnerships and relationships
The qualified Staff Accountant will possess the following:
- At least four (4) years of educational and work experience combined
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and possess a proactive mindset with a desire to learn and grow accounting and general professional skills
- Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset
