Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking aFacilities Engineer Intern at the Orange VA site is nearCulpeper VA in beautiful rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington DC)! This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

Under minimal supervision conceives and plans a variety of complex facilities engineering projects providing technical advice on feasibility planning costs and time requirements. Coordinate manage follow-up and close-out capital projects. Acts as a technical adviser and expert on building HVAC system design control systems operations and maintenance. Ensures that work performed by the Companys personnel or contractors conforms to national state and local laws regulations and position will support facilities projects.

Essential Functions:

Coordinate with operations and maintenance to capture requirements and translate into project scopes and deliverables.
Work with external designers/A&E teams to ensure requirements are reflected in drawings and specifications
Support contractor selection and management RFI responses submittals change orders and quality inspections.
Monitor project schedules budgets and deliverables; conduct status meetings and provide updates across stakeholders.
Prepare cost estimates scopes of work and capital expenditure requests.
Ensure work complies with applicable codes regulations and standards throughout design and construction.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be pursuing Bachelors Degree or Masters Degreein Construction Management or Civil Engineering and will be returning to school upon completion of their assignment.
