What you will get to do:

The Business Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of systems within SS&C GIDS Inc. This role involves analyzing business processes gathering requirements and collaborating with development teams to deliver effective and efficient software solutions.


* Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
* Gather document and analyze detailed business requirements from various stakeholders through interviews workshops and other elicitation techniques.
* Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development teams ensuring clarity and completeness.
* Collaborate closely with project managers developers quality assurance testers and other team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
* Create and maintain various documentation including use cases process flows data models and system diagrams.
* Participate in the design testing and implementation phases of new systems and enhancements.
* Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose.
* Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented systems identifying and resolving issues promptly.
* Facilitate effective communication between business units and IT teams acting as a liaison.
* Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to business systems analysis.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis processes and methodologies within the organization.

What you will bring:

* Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and processes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
* Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques (e.g. interviews workshops prototyping).
* Experience with various methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
* Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for data analysis.
* Ability to create clear and concise documentation including functional specifications use cases and process flows.
* Experience with business process modeling tools (e.g. Visio Lucidchart).
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
