Key Responsibilities:
The Field and Emergency Communications Specialist gathers stories in World Vision areas in Visayas. He/she also supports Visayas Field Offices needs in documenting impact stories and ensuring World Vision brand is observed.
This post is based in Cebu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Frequent travels to document stories of transformation from World Visionassisted communities in Visayas through photography video and interviews.
- Utilize digital communications platforms including online photo libraries to upload manage and promote field stories.
- Coordinate and fulfill story and layout requests from various teams including Operations Marketing and Emergency units.
- Support the Field and Emergency Communications Officer in delivering communication outputs and emergency response materials.
Qualifications:
Bachelors/College Degree in Communication Journalism or a related field.
At least 23 years of experience in a similar role or capacity.
Preferably with industry experience in non-government organizations humanitarian agencies and/or media companies.
Demonstrated strong English oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels with cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
Ability to work under pressure meet tight deadlines and negotiate diplomatically when needed.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and guidance.
High sense of mission service and alignment with World Visions ministry.
Willing to travel up to 70% of the time primarily within the Visayas region and to other parts of the Philippines when necessary.
