Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gate Control Weekdays in Kansas City MO you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech media and telecom location where you will support access control and security-related operations welcoming employees and visitors checking credentials and helping manage entry points. You will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible to help to deter incidents respond to concerns and document activity with clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients staff and visitors by following site-specific access procedures security-related policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification managing visitor registration and/or badging and directing individuals to approved locations.
- Monitor alarms cameras and access control systems and report unusual activity per site procedures to help to deter unauthorized access.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including documenting events and escalating issues through the proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location entry points and perimeter noting hazards access concerns and policy violations and reporting findings to site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21 years of age.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
