An Outstanding and high-performing secondary school in Poole is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to lead and further strengthen its SEND provision from April.

The Role
As SENCO you will take strategic responsibility for SEND provision across the school. You will ensure that students with additional needs receive high-quality targeted support and that statutory requirements are fully met.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing the schools SEND strategy
Coordinating EHCPs and individual support plans
Monitoring progress and implementing effective interventions
Supporting and training teaching staff to embed inclusive practice
Liaising with parents external agencies and senior leadership
You will play a key role in promoting high expectations and ensuring all students can access the curriculum successfully.

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)
Strong understanding of SEND legislation and safeguarding procedures
Experience leading interventions and improving outcomes for students with additional needs
A strategic organised and collaborative approach
